 According to Punch,thirty lawyers will accompany Johnson Suleman, general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, to the Abuja headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS). He is expected to appear before the secret police by 10 am on Monday. Phrank Shaibu, communication adviser to the pastor, confirmed the invitation, saying he would honour it. “Yes, I can confirm to you that he (Suleman) was officially invited and as a law-abiding citizen, he will honour the DSS invitation on Monday,” PUNCH quoted Shaibu as saying. “The invitation, though ludicrous and an afterthought, is a welcome development.” The newspaper added that a source disclosed that Suleman had the intention of going to the office of the DSS with 30 lawyers. “Suleman will be appearing before the DSS with about 30 lawyers because we believe that his persecution has become politicised,” the source reportedly said. The agency invited the fiery cleric after its bid to arrest him failed. Earlier in the week, DSS operatives trailed him to the hotel where he lodged after a crusade in Ekiti state, but Suleman quickly reached out to Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti, who intervened on his behalf. Suleman had ordered his security aides to kill any Fulani herdsman that attempts to attack his church. Responding to the attempt to arrest Suleman, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) vowed to resist any plot to turn the country into a refugee camp for Christians. “Treating ministers of God and our members as common criminals is unacceptable to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),” the association had said in a statement.</div>

We all stared at the 
gorgeously dressed woman 
who obviously has had a 
taste of luxury. She reeked 
of wealth from head to toe. 
She looked vaguely familiar 
in a strange way but I could 
not remember ever seeing 
her. I wondered where I 
must have seen her but 
nothing came to mind. 
I 
stared at Richard who was 
busy glaring at the visitor 
clenching his fists like 
someone in a boxing 
competition. Why he was so 
angry was lost on me, he 
had never been this furious. 
No one uttered a word and 
I stood there not knowing 
what exactly was amiss. 
“I asked you a question. 
What the hell are you doing 
here?” Richard growled 
with his fists clenched. 
I grabbed his hand to calm 
him down a bit. “Calm 
down honey and show the 
woman some respect 
please. Who is she?” I asked 
quietly but he did not 
answer. He did not have to 
anyways. He was only this 
angry whenever he talked 
about one person. I looked 
the woman and got my 
confirmation – the blue 
eyes could not be mistaken. 
Those piercing blue eyes 
which could do a lot of 
things by just staring were 
exactly the same as 
Richard’s. I looked from 
Richard to the woman and 
back noticing the striking 
resemblance. 
“Richy, is this your 
mother?” I asked quietly. 
Richard’s hand immediately 
left mine as he turned his 
glare towards me. “She is 
not MY mother” he said 
stressing the ‘my’. 
I got my confirmation in 
that statement. 
The subject 
matter just stood there 
speechless and could have 
been mistaken for a deaf 
and dumb. 
Richard looked at his father 
knowing that this was his 
doing. “I don’t know what 
she is doing here and I 
don’t want to know but one 
thing I know is that I don’t 
wanna see her here when I 
get back”, he said and 
stormed out of the sitting 
room towards the masters’ 
bedroom. 
The entire room was as 
though no one was inside 
as no one made a single 
sound. I don’t know why I 
did not stop Richard from 
leaving the room but I 
guess my professional 
instinct made me realize 
that he needed a little time 
to himself. I felt his pain and 
knew just what he must be 
feeling as I had felt that way 
too. I raised my eyes to 
stare at my newly found 
mother-in-law but she 
seemed to be in tears. 
Her voice shattered the silence in the room. 
“I told 
you James. He would never 
forgive me and he has a 
right not to. I was so callous 
and wicked to him”, she 
said obviously to Mr. 
Branson as tears rolled 
down her cheeks. 
Everyone started 
murmuring one thing or 
the other while I wondered 
what Richard would be 
doing inside the room. 
“I 
should leave now”, my 
mother-in-law said and 
made to leave but Richard’s 
dad stopped her. 
“Wait, let me talk to him 
first”, he said. 
I startled, “No… I mean… 
why don’t you allow me do 
the talking sir, although I 
cannot promise anything 
for now”, I said 
immediately. 
Everyone in the room 
nodded in agreement and I 
was instantly grateful that 
we did not include 
strangers in the ceremony. 
For the very first time, 
Richard’s mum looked at 
me and said, “You must be 
his wife. You are very pretty 
and I am sorry for 
disrupting your party. 
Please forgive me”. Her 
foreign assent was 
undeniable. I nodded and 
made for the room.

asked her friend.

popular slogan says, ‘when

can to get it’. But my friend, 
you have to apply common 
sense. You have just been 
given the job so it would be 
risky and out of place for

this job, you cannot throw 
everything away by being 
overzealous”, Ronke said.

plan slowly, portraying the 
highest level of innocence

She must be delusional”. He 
continued not even waiting 
for a reply to his previous 
questions; not like there

though. When I did not say 
anything, he stopped and 
stared at me. “Would you

I sighed, stood up, took his 
hands and pulled him with 
me to the bed. He sat down 
at the edge of the bed and I 
knelt behind him on the 
bed, placed my hands on 
his shoulders and gently 
massaged them.

him and continued my 
massage. Gently, I felt the 
anger and tension ease out 
of him and he started 
relaxing.

STORY: BEAUTIFUL BELINA (Season 2,Episode 5)

I stared at Richard as he 
entered. He was obviously 
very angry but I didn’t give 
a d--n. He did not notice 
my tears and I wiped it off 
immediately. 
“where are you coming 
from sir?” I asked 
sarcastically. 
He rubbed his palm on his 
head. “see, I can’t explain 
anything now?” he 
responded 
I was taken aback. 
“You 
can’t what? You better start 
explaining. How dare you 
leave the house in the 
middle of an important 
celebration in our lives, 
come back this late and give 
me that crap? Do you know 
how worried I was? I called 
how many times? Let me 
check… 42 times, only to 
find your phone inside and 
now you tell me that you 
can’t explain anything 
now?” I lamented. 
“Alright, sorry. Are you ok 
now?” he dropped coldly 
and stormed into the 
bedroom. That only made 
me angrier. My anger 
increased several degrees 
but I kept it inside. My 
tummy was screaming for 
food but my mouth was not 
ready to accept anything. 
This is a thing that occurs 
whenever I am angry. 
I entered the room and 
started changing my 
clothes. Richard was in the 
shower and I did not care 
because I was in no mood 
to have any bath at all, 
besides, I took my bath 
before the party began and 
I did not dance or do 
anything that would 
warrant another bath. The 
anniversary was just a total 
disaster. 
I wore a nightie and got 
into my side of the big bed. 
I pulled the blanket up to 
my chin and switched off 
the bedside lamp. I closed 
my eyes as tears flowed 
down my cheeks. I pinged 
Prisca, telling her not to 
worry that Richard was 
already back, switched off 
my phone and placed it 
beside the lamp. 
I heard the shower go off 
and Richard step out. I 
pretended to be asleep but 
I knew that Richard was 
not easily fooled. The light 
came and I felt him seat in 
front of me. 
“sweet heart. Lina” he 
called but I did not respond. 
He gently kissed my checks 
and went to the other side 
of the bed to sleep. More 
tears slipped out of my 
closed eyes unhindered as I 
remembered all the events

A woman has donated her uterus to her 21-year-old daughter born without uterus in the first surgery of its kind in India. The 43-year-old offered to undergo the procedure so that her daughter, who was born without a uterus, can experience childbirth. The uterus, or womb, transplant took place in the city of Pune in southwest India, Thursday. The surgery was performed by a team of doctors at Pune's Galaxy Care Hospital and led by the hospital's medical director, Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar. "The patients are fine. The surgery took nine and a half hours in total," he said. "The procedure is difficult because multiple large arteries are to be joined there, and veins that are small and short," said Puntambekar. "It is technically very tough." The patient will have to wait a year before trying to become pregnant through in- vitro fertilization (IVF), giving her body enough time to heal and adjust to the new uterus. According to Dr. Mats Brännström, a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at Sweden's University of Gothenburg, only six babies have ever been delivered from a uterus transplant — two from the same mother. Brännström led the team that first successfully performed the procedure in 2014, when after 11 unsuccessful attempts worldwide by their team and others, a healthy baby was born in Sweden. All five babies delivered since have been the result of surgeries performed by the Swedish team. It remains to be seen whether India's first transplant will result in a birth. Source; CNN

Zhiri said Niger state museum was one of the well- organised premier museums with experienced professional personnel. He said government was working seriously to expand the museum by bringing in more artifact to enrich the state's museum. "We are working strategically to bringing in more artifacts to uphold our cultural heritage," he said. "We have identified artifacts we are going to bring in, like the musical strings of the late Walo Shatan Gwari and late Nupe musicians' musical strings used in the course of their musical career. "We are going to pay the custodians of these musical strings and bring them to the Niger state museum. "It is going to cost us about N2 million to bring them from the Niger Zone A, Zone B and Zone C." Zhiri added that the essence of bringing such artifacts to Niger museum was to preserve the history and make it public to those who did not know such history. "People come in here to learn the history of different artifacts; we keep them safe for posterity. "Managers of museum strive a lot to bring in inherited artifacts from the people they were bequeathed to because they do not know the use as much as we do. "They do not know the significance of these artifacts. As far as they know, they are keeping them because they inherited them. That is how much most of them know."
